Carlos Capdevila
Carlos Capdevila is a Burlington, Iowa–based drummer, producer, and recording studio owner with a career spanning more than four decades. Originally from Argentina, he began performing
professionally at just 15 years old and toured extensively throughout Argentina and Brazil before later establishing himself in the U.S. music scene.
Carlos is an active freelance touring musician and the owner of Big Dog Music Factory, a professional recording studio. Over the years, he has received numerous recognitions, including the Iowa Music
Awards Lifetime Achievement Award, along with additional achievements and nominations in South America.
Carlos is primarily a drummer but also plays guitar and keyboards. His musical focus includes rock, Latin, blues, and pop. Throughout his extensive career, he has performed in both live and studio settings across several countries in North and South America.

Originally from Argentina, Carlos moved to the United States and became an established figure in the Iowa music scene. He began playing drums and guitar at the age of 10 and started touring professionally at just 15 years old.
Between 1975 and 1986, he toured extensively with various artists across Argentina and Brazil, including performances with major touring acts such as The Platters, as well as his own bands and numerous studio sessions.
After taking a 20-year break to focus on family and business, Carlos returned to the music industry in 2004 and has remained active ever since.
